Tony Taylor joined Lakota Funds in 2004 and has supported the development of many Native-owned businesses in our service area. As Loan Officer, Tony underwrites loans as well as provides customized individual assistance to entrepreneurs. He is an IRS-certified tax preparer and coordinates our annual free tax preparation service, also known as our Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) site. Tony is also certified as an Economic Development Finance Professional and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from Chadron State College.
Prior to joining Lakota Funds, Tony operated the Security First Bank’s mobile bank that traveled to various communities on the Pine Ridge Reservation. He was also a Housing Counselor for a community development corporation. Tony resides in Gordon, Nebraska, with his wife, four daughters, and stepdaughter. He collects rare books and enjoys weight lifting and golf.
