Miguel Apaza, is an artist who enjoys exploring new ways and media as an ongoing life style. He has used traditional art media on paper, canvas and print. Woodwork, was his main focus for over three decades beginning in 1974. More recently, he discovered that computers can also provide a fun and enjoyable exploration in the expression of human intereaction and communication, as well as for visual design.

He is a film buff and supports the Voices of the Heartland independent film group, where he belongs as a member of the selection committee. He, actively, pursues photography, practices the fiddle, foreign languages. He has also been involved as a mediator for Center for Restorative Justice in Rapid City.

Now, at Lakota Funds he intends to make use of his skills to support and promote the effort the organization represents. He feels it's a worthwhile endeavor in which he became interested before applying for his present position.
